Bulgarian born Peter Danov (1864 - 1944) founded the 'White Brotherhood' in 1897 in Varna on the Black Sea coast. The aim of his movement initially was to raise the religious spirit of the Bulgarian people. Later on it grew and became a worldwide organisation, promoting the spirit of brotherhood among people by stressing on Love, Wisdom, Truth, Justice and Virtue. Danov laid out his teaching in 7000 lectures that are published in several series. He has followers all over the world. Danov contributed during WWII to Bulgarias decision not to send its Jews to the concentration camps in Nazi Germany. Członkowie międzynarodowego ruchu religijnego Białe Bractwo wykonują taniec rytualny „Panevritmia”. Jest to element obchodzonego przez nich święta nowego roku, uroczystości odbywają się na szczycie góry Rila 130 kilometrów od Sofii w Bułgarii. Coroczne rytuały Bractwa są odprawiane od 1929. Założycielem ruchu był Peter Danov (1864 – 1944), który dokonał rejestracji religii w Warnie nad Morzem Czarnym w 1897 roku. Celem ruchu była odnowa duchowa wśród Bułgarów. Od założenia religia zdobywała coraz więcej wyznawców stając się współcześnie ruchem międzynarodowym. Peter Danov zostawił 7000 wykładów, pogrupowanych w kilka serii. Podczas II wojny światowej przyczynił się do podjęcia decyzji o niewysyłaniu Żydów bułgarskich do niemieckich obozów koncentracyjnych. Danov wśród wyznawców swojej religii znany jest jako Beinsa Douno, autor ponad 160 piosenek i utworów.
