O czasopiśmie Koncentracja i zakres Studia Mythologica Slavica jest międzynarodowym czasopismem naukowym poświęconym mitologii, kulturze duchowej i tradycji Słowian, a także innych narodów i ludzi. Jest publikowany przez Instytut Etnologii Słoweńskiej Centrum Badań Naukowych Słoweńskiej Akademii Nauk i Sztuk oraz przez Dipartimento di Lingue e Letterature, Comunicazione, Formazione e Societ`a, Università degli Studi di Udine. Czasopismo poświęcone jest badaniom interdyscyplinarnym, a jednym z głównych celów tego czasopisma jest prezentacja badań porównawczych, które definiują i określają (tj. ustanawia) kulturę słowiańską w kontekście szerszego europejskiego i pozaeuropejskiego świata (kultur). Czasopismo ma na celu rzucić światło na systemy wierzeń i religie starszych cywilizacji słowiańskich, eurazjatyckich i innych. Ponadto zachęca do badania współczesnych zjawisk z zakresu kultury duchowej, społecznej i materialnej oraz ich przemian. Publikacja ma charakter zarówno międzynarodowy, jak i interdyscyplinarny, obejmując tematy z zakresu etnologii, historii, archeologii, językoznawstwa, religioznawstwa, historii literatury i filozofii. Przynosi także nowe interpretacje źródeł historycznych oraz prezentuje nowe odkrycia, badania materiałowe i terenowe. Wszystkie artykuły po otrzymaniu są sprawdzane przez jednego z redaktorów, po czym przesyłane są do dwóch anonimowych recenzentów. Instrukcje dla autorów publikowane są w Internecie oraz w czasopiśmie.

Focus and Scope
Studia mythologica Slavica is international scientific journal on the mythology, spiritual culture and tradition of Slavic and also other nations and people. It is published by the Institute of Slovenian Ethnology of the Scientific Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and by the Dipartimento di Lingue e Letterature, Comunicazione, Formazione e Societ`a, Università degli Studi di Udine. The journal is dedicated to interdisciplinary studies, and one of the main aims of this journal is to present comparative research that defines and determines (i.e. establishes) Slavic culture in the context of the wider European and non-European world (cultures). The journal intends to throw light on the belief systems and religions of older Slavic, Eurasian, and other civilisations. Moreover, it encourages the research of contemporary phenomena in the field of spiritual, social and material culture, and their transformation. The character of the publication is both international and interdisciplinary, covering the themes from the field of ethnology, history, archaeology, linguistics, religious studies, history of literature and philosophy. It also brings new interpretations of historical sources and presents new discoveries, material, and field research.
All articles are examined by one of the editors upon receipt, after which they are sent to two anonymous reviewers. The instructions for authors are published on the internet and in the journal.
