Może to niezbyt grzecznie cytować samego siebie , ale jest ku temu specjalna okazja 🙂
Przypominam poniższy teks z mojego komentarza;
„Warto zwrócić uwagę , że oprócz ogólnej zbieżności wątku „narracyjnego” , ciekawą rzeczą są inne też podobieństwa, które nie rzucają się bezpośrednio w oczy, choćby jak owa „Jama” czy też zjawiska atmosferyczne jakie wiążą się z zabiciem/wygnaniem smoka. Są to często burze , gradobicia itp. Również w naszej legendzie mamy z czymś takim do czynienia, bo choć sam tekst o tym nie pisze , to jednak nie ulega wątpliwości, że skutkiem „pęknięcia” smoka , który wcześniej wypił pół wody z Wisły, musiało być nagłe uwolnienie sporej ilości wody nagromadzonej w trzewiach bestii.”
Ten wątek „uwolnienia wód” zawsze mnie ciekawił, gdyż umieszczenie go w legendzie musiało być nieprzypadkowe.
Teraz oto pojawia się wyjaśnienie tej zagadki

Warto zwrócić uwagę na poniższe zdanie (jak się tu coś wytłuszcza ? )
„He appears as a dragon blocking the course of the rivers” – brzmi znajomo , albowiem nasz smok również, nieco w przenośni, zablokował wody Wisły, wypijając jej połowę.

W micie greckim o Perprzechwale – Herkulesie jest też dzik morderca.
Jakoś mało smoków w tych mitach greckich. Chyba tylko jeden, w micie o Argonautach, pilnujący złotego runa, ale to chodzi raczej o nas. Scytowie pilnują złotego runa w Kolchidzie, a Jazon, złodziej, je ukradł.
